Terms of Service
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the WayVerb platform operated by WayVerb Technologies Pvt Ltd. By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Accounts and Roles
When you create an account with us, you must provide information that is accurate, complete, and current. WayVerb operates a multi-role permission system:
- Administrator (Data Controller) — the institution representative who manages the school's WayVerb account and is responsible for data accuracy and compliance.
- ADMIN / TEACHER / OFFICE_STAFF / VIEWER — staff roles with scoped access created by the Administrator within the web app.
- Parent — accesses the separate WayVerb Parent App (com.wayverb.parentapp), linked to a student record created by the Administrator.
Failure to provide accurate information or misuse of role-based access constitutes a breach of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination.
2. License to Use
Subject to these Terms, WayVerb grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to access and use the following products for your internal educational administrative purposes:
- WayVerb web application (app.wayverb.com)
- WayVerb Teacher App (Android/iOS)
- WayVerb Parent App (com.wayverb.parentapp, Android/iOS)
Use of the mobile apps is also subject to the applicable Google Play Store or Apple App Store terms in addition to these Terms. You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of any WayVerb product.
- Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
- Share admin credentials with unauthorized third parties.
3. Service Availability
We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may perform scheduled maintenance with prior notice.
4. Data Ownership
- All educational data uploaded to WayVerb — including student records, fee data, exam results, and attendance logs — belongs to the institution at all times.
- WayVerb acts solely as a Data Processor under the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023. The institution is the Data Controller and is responsible for obtaining appropriate consents from parents, students, and staff.
- Upon termination of the subscription, institutions may request a full data export within 30 days.
5. Mobile Applications
- WayVerb Teacher App and Parent App are distributed via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
- Push notifications are delivered via Firebase Cloud Messaging and can be disabled at any time in the device's notification settings.
- The Parent App includes an AI chat feature that transmits queries to a third-party AI provider. These queries are processed in real time and are not stored after the session. Parents should avoid entering sensitive personal information in the chat.
6. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall WayVerb, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bangalore, Karnataka. WayVerb complies with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023.
